Dr. Ashley Diaz - Medical Director

Dr. Ashley Diaz

Dr. Ashley Diaz developed her passion for veterinary medicine at a young age after experiencing the loss of two childhood dogs to bone cancer. The compassion and communication shown by her veterinarian inspired her to pursue a career focused on supporting both pets and their families.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of Missouri–Columbia in 2014. Dr. Diaz began her veterinary education at St. George’s University in 2016 and completed her clinical training through Oklahoma State University, graduating with her DVM in 2020. During her training, she volunteered at a local animal shelter and gained hands-on experience in a general practice setting.

Dr. Diaz is a member of the AVMA and MVMA and is passionate about strengthening the human-animal bond through honest communication and compassionate care. Her professional interests include small animal medicine and spay and neuter programs, with a focus on improving overall animal welfare. She finds it especially rewarding to help sick pets recover and return to their happy, healthy selves.

Outside of work, Dr. Diaz enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, including hiking, fishing, and exploring nature with her children. She has been married to her husband, Adam, for six years, and they have two daughters, Delaney and Mackenzie. Their home also includes a black Labrador named Riley and two orange cats, Lefty and Richard.
